LEGO^® 48729 vs 41005

Here we look at three versions of the 1L bar with clip.

Notes Both v1 and v2 are cataloged as part number 48729/48729. v3 is cataloged as 41005.

Speculation (1) The change in barb profile from v1 to v2 probably due to v1 not being “in system” with the outer span of the barbs being in excess of one-brick width. (2) The change from a rounded bottom to a squared bottom (v2 to v3) possibly provides for more secure seating of the element when placed into a recessed stud.

While I can find only one mold version for v1, multiple versions are evident for v2 and v3.
