54930 Electric Light Brick

The underside of 54930. Getting into the brick is simple by removing the single screw.

This image shows the inner assembly. Note the LED is polarity sensitive, so the orientation of the button cells is specific. Corrosion is evident on the positive contact and button cells.

Disassembled. Top row: 54930 Dark Stone Gray base, 54929 Transparent Red top. Middle row: negative contact, button, 3mm LED, positive contact. Bottom row: two LR41 1.5v button cells, screw. Positive contact and button cells have been cleaned with steel wool.

Light works reliably now.
